Who we are
One family of churches, rooted in Dappleshire
The Dappleshire Methodist Circuit is a family of sixteen churches and chapels spread across the towns, villages and hamlets of Dappleshire. Some of our congregations have gathered on the same spot for a century and more; others meet in modern halls shared with the whole community.
Whatever the building, the heart is the same: worship that lifts the spirit, friendship that lasts, and practical care for our neighbours, from foodbank collections to warm spaces, toddler groups to lunch clubs.

Questions people often ask
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. You'll see everything from Sunday best to jeans and wellies, and nobody minds.
Can I bring my children?
Absolutely. Children are welcome in every service, noise and all. Most churches have a children's corner, and several run junior church during the morning service.
Is there parking and step-free access?
Most of our churches have step-free access and parking nearby. Each church's page lists the details, or ring the circuit office and we'll point you in the right direction.
Do I have to give money?
No. A collection plate goes round in most services, but visitors are our guests, so please let it pass by with a clear conscience.

Where is Dappleshire? Some Dappleshire postcodes suggest Dartford, but Dappleshire isn't anywhere near Dartford. Dappleshire is a UK Methodist circuit of no fixed abode: a fictional example of an urban and rural circuit, created to demonstrate Chrestos.
