From the Circuit Meeting

The Circuit Meeting was held at Privett Street on Wednesday 27 September. Superintendent minister, Wendy Warburton, was in the chair and 47 members were present. Rev'd Paul Thompson was welcomed to his first Circuit Meeting in Dappleshire, as were three other members attending for the first time.

Peter Watson, Circuit Treasurer, presented the annual accounts for 2022-2023. As anticipated, Income had failed to match expenditure, but Mr Watson was confident the 6% increase in assessments agreed at the June meeting would correct the imbalance. The accounts were adopted. Senior Circuit Steward, Ruth Davies, presented a new proposal for dealing with property grant applications. The Meeting was unhappy with its details and it was referred back to the Circuit Stewards for further work.
