Central

Central, in Middleton Street, Whippleswick is the largest church in the Dappleshire Circuit. It's present minister is Rev'd Janet Langley.

Central was opened in 1962 (following the sale of Bodmin Road and Jubillee). It has an extensive and flexible suite of premises, that is well used by both church and community. The church has an all-age congregation and a Sunday School for the under-11s.

Central is strengthened by a network of housegroups that tend to meet fortnightly. These facilitate bible study, prayer and discussion. For the more active members there is 'Stragglers' (a walking group) and 'Bats' (a table tennis club). The Guild meets on the first Monday of each month. 'Over-60s Judo' isn't meeting at present following last year's accident.

Central is twinned with Gerubu Heights Methodist Church in Kenya.
